Overview
During the Pre-contract stage, David took ownership of cost planning which involved detailed analysis of security-specific requirements and their cost implications. With strong teamwork utilising individual skillsets, David was able to develop a comprehensive cost document that reflected both standard construction costs and the additional measures to suit the nature of these works.
The tender period involvement consisted of indirect liaison with the tenderers to address queries and ensure complete understanding of requirements. This proactive engagement helped towards accuracy of tender returns that could be meaningfully compared. The tender evaluation assessed not only price competitiveness but also methodology, programme, and overall quality of bid.
The Post-contract support consisted of Payments Recommendations for both the Designer and the Main Contractor, Financial forecasting, Cost change form processes, and other general cost-based tasks to ensure the scheme maintained within budgetary guidelines.
