Overview
This scheme consisted of 37 new build residential units in West Sussex. David had full commercial responsibility and undertook all relevant tasks associated with a Main Contractor's Quantity Surveyor's role. The scheme's subcontractors package value was close to £5 Million which spanned from groundworks to painting and decorating, all of which was managed and procured by David, using a competitive tender for each trade.
During the construction phase, David was responsible for tracking actual costs against the budget (Monthly CVR completion), measuring and valuing the work completed on site, and managing subcontractor payments. A significant part of the role involved identifying and pricing variations or changes to the project scope, and negotiating these with the client to ensure value was provided and costs were fair and reasonable for any additional scope items.
